My first engagement with Mark Cain and Cain & Co was in 1998 during the national roll out of Essentia Water. During that time Mark directly contributed to the strategic marketing, distributor and retail sales programs for Essentia, and as a result of his contributions, Essentia became recognized as Brand of the Year for Whole Foods. It should speak volumes that nearly 10 years later, we re-engaged Cain & Co to assist in a strategic brand visioning process for a new and exciting product, ZICO Pure Coconut Water. In less than 4 months, he took over marketing and national accounts in two poorly preforming North Carolina and South Carolina markets and turned them around. With a 3-hour difference in time zones he was reachable any time of the day. He is compassionate, honest, fair and gives people a real chance to grow and develop. I would gladly work for Mark again if given the opportunity because I trust him - and his word is real - some of the hardest qualities to find in a leader today. Any company looking at hiring Mark will get a dedicated executive who will do his absolute best to make their company a success.
